    Ph2 Gear Knob

    Ok.. I know this has been covered before in many threads and the general advice is to "yank it" and "watch your nose". Now..i'm not a big boy.. but I'm not a wimp (spent thelast few years labouring)... but do you think I can pull it off!! I've twisted..i've pulled... i've been worried about damaging the linkages etc..my hands got sore and i've sweated. Do I have to ask it nicely first? Is there any other way to get it off without cutting the stick. I don't need the gear knob..it's brown and worn/old...any suggestsions? I'm thinking about ramming a screw driver up and trying to pry it up and off... Thanks
