Hi Guys and Girls!,
New to this forum but not to the 205 ( well about 3 years of owning them now )
But anyway, i have a 205 TT ( turbo technics ) Dimma so it is fitted with a quafie
diff.. but prior to the Dimma i had a bone stock 1.9 GTi with over 170k Miles on it!
Even the shocks were standard!
It was quite tired and needed a bit of work i fixed it up enough it drive it for 6 months
then decided id rather sell the car then get the engine rebuilt due to low oil pressure...
But despite its poor condition the car was still a pleasant driving experience.
and my Dimma just doesn't feel right... yes its bloody quick but it feels very poorly
set up. ( Im going to totally restore the car so expect a new Restoration thread within
a year or so ) When i turn into a car i get to a certain point before the steering suddenly
gets heavier ( car is a non-pas ) its not gradual at all. it snaps oh heavier. Im thinking the
Quafie could be shot.
Theres nothing blocking the tie roads or any of the steering components..
The car doesn't feel that well balanced compared to my standard 1.9
yes it needs new shocks and bushes somewhat but im after a second opinion.
has anyone here driven a Genuine Dimma ( with the wheels ) and a 1.9 and noticed a
difference ?
Please advise
Mitch
