Hello all, I recently joined the forum, however I've been using this site for a while since buying our 1991 1.6 205 GTI. I'm working on various body repairs, project thread to follow, however I'm looking for some advice on the B pillar and how best to repair it. Our car's B pillar has been cut/corroded away and we're unsure how/if it should join the sill. See below for some photographs. Note the majority of the lower section of the rear quarter panel has been removed. Can anyone advise on how the pillar internal structure should meet the sill (or otherwise?). Any pictures of the area would be much appreciated! Thanks, Andy. P.S. the other side has been bodged by a previous owner so not much of a guide! Xu10J2Te Throttle Body Gasket
lemmingzappa posted a topic in XU 8v Engine Maintenance and Performance Upgrades
I've been trying to source the correct gasket for my 2.0 8v Turbo throttle body which looks like this: On Servicebox I can't find the correct part. This is all I can find: Number 3 which is a rubber ring (incorrect) but shows the correct 3 bolt flange. Part number 0365 32. or Number 21 which is a gasket, but shows the wrong 2 bolt flange. Part number 1635 58. -
Hello everyone! I have a question that I'm sure has been covered before, but I am looking at buying a GTi to restore over the summer with my dad - not a full restoration, just a car needing a bit of TLC really. I've seen one advertised locally to home but the paint is pretty bad. It is Sorrento Green but I really like the Miami Blue colour, could anybody give me a ballpark figure of how much it would cost to have the exterior only resprayed in Miami Blue? The inside will be sprayed white further down the road, so it's only an exterior and possibly engine bay job. We would do much of the prep work ourselves, if not all of it, so that would bring the cost down somewhat. Thanks!

Hello I'm wanting to replace the front bumper on my 205 style which currently looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/rbCw82Z.jpg (won't let me attach it for some reason). I've found a gti bumper (attached file) but would it fit without any problems? Main reason I'm doing this is I prefer the look of the gti bumper and would love some front fog lights. Thanks for reading! Any additional advice welcome!
