My 205 is lowered about 35-40mm. For me its a little too low ( track/road compromise situation, not ideal! Need a car for daily! ). Ive got some new springs coming this week to raise it closer to standard height. ( 309 beam with 21.5mm tb and 24mm arb, front PTS Billies with 6in 250lbs springs. Horrible! )
My question is this.
Has anybody besides Colin Satchell managed to raise the steering rack on a standard crosmember?
I hate the bumpsteer a lowered 205 has and there does not seem to be much you can do to fix it unless using a custom subframe.
Looking at the subframe, it seems you would have to add your own section where the rack currently sits to be able to place the rack where its not bumping higher up. Is this correct thinking?
If this is the case, why has no one done this already? Am I missing something?
Im keen to get a solution, Ive got a few cross members lying about..
