    After an astonishingly long time of undertaking a GTI-6 conversion, suspension overhaul and brake upgrade I have finally got it back on the road. I have a highly demanding job, so time has been very limited, but I'm SO SO pleased to be nearing a point of being able to enjoy the car for a while. Although I'm not a hugely active poster on the forum (mainly because lots of people know LOADS more than I), I have found it to be an unparallelled resource. Many thanks to all the people that have helped with specific queries. I expect to fail the first MOT attempt, but it will at least give me a clear definition of snags to address. I'll soon turn my attention to the cosmetics and the various shades of faded paint with a respray next year hopefully.
