  1. I have been through the searches and there is loads on here but some threads seem to be conflicting. Took my car in yesterday (none cat) and it was just over on Co2 emissions. I have heard things like taking the air filter out etc to cure the problem. The car passed last year with the current air flow meter but to be honest it is running richer than Sheikh Mohammed. I have been running a different airflow meter in the last 6 months on the car and don't know weather to change it back over and take a flyer. I would rather just adjust the one that i have on the car as it only just failed. Will adjusting the main allen key on the airflow meter be good enough to get it through or not and if so which way do it turn it to make it leaner ? The only thing that i have had done on the car in the last year is having the injectors cleaned. The car has only done 5k since the last MOT having had a full Peugeot service done before (ie air filter, spark plugs etc are all OE). The car will be getting set up properly in the next month or so but as i said is there a quick fix ? Thanks in advance
  2. Morning all, well my gti is almost done bar bleeding the brakes and refitting the front bumper. I am going to book it in for mot next week, however i am slightly concerned about the emissions side of things, its a newly rebuilt engine so i am worried they will rev the bollox off it when testing it? The places where i normally go just say "leave it and we ring when its done"-i swear their testers must be part time or summat??!! Also the emissions test itself-what would cause it to fail?? The car in question is a standard 1.6 Gti 1989 Any help or advice would be appreciated.
