Need some help as I might just be very stupid.
I had a failure of my 6 year old compbrake wishbones (picture attached) on my race car. After visiting the compbrake website, there was mention of new improved version so I re-ordered thinking I then I would have spare rose joints if needed.
Tonight I try and fit them and they seem to be 5mm off center to the subframe. Center to center the subframe is 220mm, the arms are 215mm. The old compbrake ones are also 220mm. I am assuming they are incorrect in manufacture. Or am I missing something here.
I could grind down the sleeves but then this will leave the retaining bolt with no sleeve and the sleave will move around.
I am so confused.
Being in Australia its a little dificult to send back. Especially that I should be racing next weeked, that will not happen now.
What other alternatives do I have for wishbones, are the Shenpar heavy duty ones any good?
Regards,
Parry
