About 2 weeks ago a very interesting add appeared in one of the classic car websites here in Argentina. A 1500 mile (2600km) 1995 1.9 red GTI with an asking price of 50000USD. Did´t think it was for real until last Saturday... when the owner... an extremely nice individual let me and some other members of our owners club get together at his garage and spend some time with some of his very unique and beautiful toys. Among them... this GTI... that`s absolutely amazing. There were other cars worth mentioning, like a bmw 850, a 15000 mile 2.0 Mi16, a really nice Clio Williams, some Renault Fuegos and some others I can`t remember since I was very busy looking at the 205. A 1995 GTI is not uncommon here, although most of them are 92 or 93... but I had never seen any with less than 20000 miles... it was really something... about 2+ hours that were worth much more than the complaints of my girlfriend!!
