Sunroof Vacuum Hose

It's about "control valve", item 21. I just lost the track of this part...

 

 

 

How does it look like, is it white color barrel shape or just a plain black snap-on pipe joint?

Is it mandatory or vacuum system can do without it?

im not really sure, but from the way it looks, this part is used mainly to connect between two hoses and change pressures, i think that you should try to connect the system without it and see what happens, i mean, its only a sunroof, it cant explode or something..

 

im not near the car at the moment, will only be there tomorrow, and then will be able to check it much better.

IIRC it's blue and black and sits just above the brake servo where the manifold vacuum hose enters.
