Bootlid Trim - Exterior

how do i remove the exterior bootlid trim? ie the plastic panel on the boot with the badges etc on it! i need to paint it!

Remove the badges, there's slide on clips under them on little rivets, then the panel can be removed, carefully though as the sides easily crack!

i've managed to get the badges and clips off but now it won't budge! and i've cracked one side already lol i'll have to plastic weld it before painting!

i'm pulling it towards me at the top and pushing downwards is that correct? it doesn't wanna budge!

nah i got it off lol its sitting out with the paint drying now! lol

i plastic welded the crack too so it looks much better!

There is sometimes a small piece sticking through the hatch near the middle with a friction washer inside iirc.
