Gear Knob Replacement?

Recommended Posts

Guest Mattw205

Standard Gear knob badly cracked, looking to replace it (with stock)

Iv been told that the gear knob doesnt come off of the lever and that you have to replace the whole lever? but then ebay has just the knobs for sale? (not the right ones either!)

Does anyone know how you change it? any info appreciated thanks in advance

codswallop!

grab hold, pull and twist simultaneously, whilst trying not to knock oneself out, hitting ones nose, or breaking the rear view mirror :D

Pug dealers still do gearknobs :)

As Welshpug says, also the gear map discs can be changed over to give a fully original look .

Awkward rather than hard,it feels like it 'should' twist off,but in reality as already posted it pulls off with a bit of twisting. there no thread to twist off.

Ok so can twist either way? is it glued or just forced on tightly?

When I took the whole lever out, stuck it in a vice, little twist to the left 90 degrees and it popped straight off, wasn't even that tight!
