Batfink 201 Posted December 8, 2008 I need a can or two of sorrento green mixed up. Does the paint code give all the necessary mixing details so I can go anywhere and get it mixed correctly or is additional information needed to get the metallic effect right?. Should I go to Halfords or are they rubbish? Anyone know what the colour is of the primer for sorrento green as that will effect the final result.

Try and find an automotive paint supplier on Yell.co.uk or the like. I found Halfords aerosols were not as easy to apply and a 300ml can was around £11.99 whereas I got a 400ml can for about £10.50 from a paint supplier and he came out to the car with two different swatches of Sorrento (M0RM) to compare to my car. You don't get a choice of shades at Halfrauds. I have used a grey primer with the Sorrento, but it was on a small area, I am not sure what you are supposed to use.
