parry 23 1 Cars Posted December 7, 2008 Guys, I would like to remove the front ARB on our track racer, by doing this it will allow me to dial in more caster through the rose jointed wishbones. I am currently running 275lb from springs on GAZ coil overs, does anybody have any experiance on how stiff I have to run the front to compensate for no ARB? Thanks in advance Parry
Sandy 191 Posted December 8, 2008 It depends mostly on what you're running on the rear?
parry 23 1 Cars Posted December 8, 2008 It depends mostly on what you're running on the rear? 24mm ARB at the rear with solid mounts .
Batfink 201 Posted December 8, 2008 when I ran 280lb with yoko ao48's I felt it was too soft for dedicated track use
Spiky 37 Posted December 8, 2008 i'm running 300 with a ARB (205) and it's not hard enough for my liking though i have fitted a 309 ARB so will see what it is like now

Sandy 191 Posted December 8, 2008 If you're just running an uprated rear ARB and standard bars, you're going to struggle to find a nice rate for the front, because the rear spring rate needs to have a higher resonant frequency than the front to work properly, which won't be the case with anything over about 175lb/inch basically.
