Front Spring Rates With No Arb

Recommended Posts

parry

Guys,

I would like to remove the front ARB on our track racer, by doing this it will allow me to dial in more caster through the rose jointed wishbones.

I am currently running 275lb from springs on GAZ coil overs, does anybody have any experiance on how stiff I have to run the front to compensate for no ARB?

Thanks in advance

Parry

It depends mostly on what you're running on the rear?

when I ran 280lb with yoko ao48's I felt it was too soft for dedicated track use

If you're just running an uprated rear ARB and standard bars, you're going to struggle to find a nice rate for the front, because the rear spring rate needs to have a higher resonant frequency than the front to work properly, which won't be the case with anything over about 175lb/inch basically.
