Rich_p 23 Posted December 4, 2008 When the handbrake is fully off in the 309 it has some vertical play in it, maybe an inch or so. This means it rattles and knocks when going over bumps. It’s stripped so would the carpet normally stop this noise or does it sound like there is a bush or something missing? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Bakes100 20 1 Cars Posted December 4, 2008 Mine was like this, the adjuster under the plastic cover tapped against the floor of the car every time i hit a bump becuase it was loose. Take off the plastic and tighten the adjuster slightly, not too much though or the brakes will bind . Then see if the knocking has gone.
