changingman 7 1 Cars Posted November 21, 2008 (edited) Hi,i dont know if i have somehow knackered the diff in my gearbox but heres the story....... A while back a customer span my 205 at Goodwood doing 90 with slicks on it. Shortly afterwards the gear stick started vibrating like it was trying to jump out. Turn out to be driveshaft. Replaced driveshaft only to have the one on the other side go shortly afterwards. Replaced it and very soon afterward the other side went again ,but, it may not have gone as it only started rattling when turning . In a straight line it is 100 vibration free. Thinking it was the driveshaft i today got 2 brand new shafts ,fitted them,did the gearbox oil and trundled off down the road,no vibration until i turned a left hand corner . No way a brand new driveshaft can go wrong within a mile so i am thinking the problem may have been in the gearbox itself all along??? I am at my wits end here. Any suggestions??
