Rear quarter window seals are a common culprit.

^ Second that. Had the same problem with mine. The rubbers around the rear quarters shrink then start to leak and if I parked mine on a tilt with the drivers side up in the air then it would fill up the rear footwell. Water would run down the top side of the seal, inside the car along the bottom of the window (under the interior panneling), drip down between the quaterpanel and interior panel and then onto and through the air vent in the plastic interior panel!

To fix: Remove the window (3 screws) and take the rubber out and stretch it - literally pull it as hard as you can being careful not to tear the 90o joints in the two corners! (This might be easier if you soak it in warm/hot water first?) Stretch it enough so that you can fit it in without it moving away at any of the corners. Also while you're there take the interior panel off and clean out the drain holes in the bottom of the quaterpanel so if any water does get in it can get back out again.

Hi,

Just a thought but does the car have a sunroof? as I have had a similar problem with mine but on the passenger side. I have had a quick look around and found that because my car is stripped out I could see that the rear drainage pipes for the sunroof were split, not sure if this is purley the cause but don't think it would help.

Don't know if this helps at all but just thought i'd mention it neway. :)

Sam.
