humanz 3 Posted November 9, 2008 Are there any differences in the exhaust tunnel among the various 205 shells? I took a custom exhaust off a ph1 205 gti and I've fitted it to ph1.5 205 XS. But I've run into a spot of bother. It seems the gear stick is fouling on the exhaust pipe. Is this due to differences in the tunnels, or have I simply mounted something badly? I took a look under the car, and it appears as if the exhaust pipe is not following the tunnel, but riding along one of the sides of the tunnel.
GTI6BOY 29 Posted November 9, 2008 no differences in the tunnel but exhaust manifolds are in different places. gear change is also different
B1ack_Mi16 67 Posted November 9, 2008 Pretty sure the first cars have a more narrow tunnel than later one. Differences in how the front seats are bolted to the shell too.
