oddball366 0 Posted November 8, 2008 i recently bought a 205 gti in good nic for £200 only thing is the engine has a bad knock. any way i aquired a gti-6 lump and gear box, sub frame, drive shafts but no loom or ecu.... just need to know is this conversion is a simple matter of changing engine,gear box, loom and ecu or am i gonna need exhaust manifold conversion plates, new bonnet, cables, ect. plese help. it will be very apperciated Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Spiky 37 Posted November 19, 2008 you'll need an unlocked ECU and gti6 loom the revcounter wont work, but i sell looms that fix this. gearbox (1,9 or 1.6) fit straight on, use 1.9 hubs and drive shafts but agree with the comment above Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
