tom_m 0 Posted November 7, 2008 how many miles are on the bottom end? do a leak down test to see if the rings are sealing properly. if they're not you could be pressurising the sump with boost.

B1ack_Mi16 67 Posted November 7, 2008 Hi it as full recon engine whit every things new rings etc Do a leakdown test first. When that's said I've heard lots of people having problems with oil spitting on 16v Turbo XU's. You could try to make one or two extra vents for crankcase pressure... rapidcossie 0 Posted November 8, 2008 as said do a PROPER leakage check and if it passes fit a PROPER breather system, not just some crappy catch tank.

rapidcossie 0 Posted November 11, 2008 Sorry but how should i do a PROPER leakage check ? Snap On do a good leakdown tester that uses an airline, its simple to use and you can detect where the leak is coming from(valve seats, bores etc)
