decoc182 0 Posted November 2, 2008 I want to upgrade the rear axle on my 205 1.4XR to something newer and better handling. Ive been hunting around on ebay and the forum for a fresh beam to fit my 205 (which will have discs i.e 1.9gti or 309 ...) but cant find any. Just a quick question, which beam could I put on my 205 xr which will have discs on it.? Will a saxo/106 rear beam fit (say off a 106 gti or saxo vtr/vts) because they are for sale everywhere. boombang 2 Posted November 2, 2008 Why not just upgrade to Gti bars and ARB? Discs are over-rated IMHO, the caliper nipples tend to snap off and you'll need to change compensators and handbrake cables, and there is really no difference in braking performance unless you're out on track.
