Xs / Gti Wiring Loom Compatibility

Im changing my phase 1 XS to phase 2 (primerily the rear lights) and im fitting a gti tank (so need the electric fuel pump feed off the gti) and i also want the oil presure and temp guages and finaly fitting central locking and leccy windows, so i thought it would be easiest to change the whole loom, and iv got about 3/4 of a gti loom,

 

What i need to know is:-

1) are the two fuse boards compatible as im missing the gti one,

2) is the front light loom the same on the GTI and XS

3) what part of the main loom does the door looms plum into? is it the heater/stalk loom or the guages/dash controll loom?

3) whats the best way to get the new wiring from the passenger side of the boot to the drivers side for the lights, and also same goes for the tailgate
