1.6 Bendix Caliper Pad Holder On 1.9 Rear Calipers

hi,

 

a couple of months ago, i saw a forum member putting 1.6 calipers on his rear disc braked axle, and i gather hes done this by taking off the pad mount (cant remember the name) and put it onto is rear caliper, so it would except a vented disc and larger pads. gather this can be done, just wondering if theres any advantages of this and if its worth doing?

 

if anybody can find the thread about it ace, as i cant searched for ages
