Wiper Stalk

just a quick question, my daily runner dosent have an intermittant wiper setting but my gti does, i have a spare wiper stalk and was wondering if i could just swap the stalks or if the motor or additional wiring is needed?

I would have thought you'd need an intermittent relay as well.

 

I cant see that just changing the stalk would enable the function, at the moment its just on or off.

 

Again I'm not certain.
