I think base models use bungs. Pretty sure all the 205 tailgates have the two holes though

Thinking about it, maybe they did...

 

I know 106's had a proper plastic screw in bung, unfortunetly it dont fit!

some did some didnt i think....depending on model. i know the bits your on about, one is a sort of square/oval jobbie. but ill be damned if i know the part numbers.

Well, they definitely made them, I followed this trio with two nice plastic bungs this morning

 

I should have flagged him down and offered him a rear wiper in exchange for them!

early XE models had no wiper at the rear. "E" for economy.

I've removed the wash spray thingy this weekend and bridged the hole with P40. Then just a thin spread of filler and smoothed in. Quick spray and you wouldn't know there was ever a hole there.

 

It's also the first time I have ever attempted "bodywork" and Im really pleased with the result and i'm known for being all fingers and thumbs.
