trialster 0 Posted October 24, 2008 hey guys, just noticed that the 306 rear beam ( HERE ) looks similar to the 309 beam, in terms of mounting. just wondering if the overall width and mounting dimensions would be suitable for the 309? ta!
welshpug 1,657 Posted October 24, 2008 probably could be done, it has been done on a 205, but what's the point??
bobob 0 Posted October 24, 2008 Just did a quick SEARCH and came across these, which may help http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?s...;306+beam\ http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?s...;306+beam\
trialster 0 Posted October 24, 2008 ok i guess its more hassle than its worth. the point of doing it is, the 306 beams are ALOT more common than the 309's and slightly wider at a guess. thinking that a 306 beam is to a 309 what a 309 beam is to a 205... welshpug 1,657 Posted October 24, 2008 a bit pointless really, seeing as the wheels often rub on a standard beam! the 309 beam on a 205 as an upgrade is somewhat debatable, a school of thought is that uprated torsion bars is a far better way to do it... Baz 421 Posted October 24, 2008 a bit pointless really, seeing as the wheels often rub on a standard beam! the 309 beam on a 205 as an upgrade is somewhat debatable, a school of thought is that uprated torsion bars is a far better way to do it... That is generally the biggest reason for doing it, as well as the extra track width.
