2003 307 Hdi Pas Failure

Recommended Posts

My landlord just rang me as his 307 hdi on a 52/03 reg powers steering has failed. I always had it as 307's are electrical pump similar to the 106/saxo etc but on searching for replacement parts (we have none at work) some people are listing bottle type belt drive ones such as found on the 206. Can anyone confirm they did do both?

all 307 hdi's i have worked on have always had a normal power steering pumps with the reservoirs on top.

i have never seen electro-power steering on one but i stand corrected if they did do them.

certainly no Belt driven pump listed on Servicebox :) VIN check would confirm, Servicebox is very good with cars of that age.

most are electrical and it mounts in the osf inner wing area. You'll know if the filler cap is hidden under the bonnet in the osf area and can be hard to access. They are bad for letting water in at the multiplug. There was a recall to check the wiring at the connector and grease it up to stop water getting in. Best to check that first
