Its probably a dumb question but can any one tell me how i can recognize a D6c from a dfw mi 16 engine.

i know that with a gti 8valve the enginecode stands a above the altinator on the right side of the cylinder block has a mi16 or s16 got that to.

Yes i know that it has a double overhead camshaft, I am not stupid

RFS has a plastic coilpack cover and silver camshaft covers, and a stainless steel 4 branck tubular exhaust manifold, has RS cast into the left hand end of the cylinder head.

S16 is the RFY, which has a black metal camshaft cover and coilpack cover.

RFT is also the S16 engine, but is rated at 150 bhp not 155, pretty much Identical to the RFY, though I don't know the exact differences, typically only found in late cars 94-96 and is quite rare.
