mine does the exact same. Think it just need the timing set up :D

Good engine set up will eliminate this behavior to the minimum :) .. so it's :

AFM set up job

ignition timing

idle stop and air screw adjusting

TP switch adjusting

I've done all the above and some extras , and now could barely notice the fuel cut off :D

when you say afm setup, how do i go about getting this done?, as for the ignition timing must be be done via a strobe, idle stop and air screw adjusting, ? where that exactly, is that just the idle screw..

and the tp switch adjusting ive set so litrally the sligest throttle movement and it clicks on .

... nearly forgot <_<

For AFM adjusting your best bet will be rolling road session .. (AFM can be adjusted on a DIY basis however it's a little bit tricky  especially if you dunno what to do .. so i would strongly recommend that you book a rolling road session ..)

As for the ignition timing - scrap the strobe light , adjust it "by ear" or even better on the rolling road as a complete set up together with AFM (but with test drive afterwards so that you can see for yourself if it's all been adjusted properly ..)

Throttle stop screw is little screw on the TB with tamper proof cap (theres just 2 of them on the TB - big brass air screw and this little throttle leaver stop screw) .., first adjust the acc. cable (i must be a little bit slack) then undone the screw all the way out and back inside (but slowly/gently) until it just touches the throttle leaver , from then turn him two full turns inside and stop there (but don't take this as a 100% correct position , it'll be roughly somewhere around this setting you might need to unscrew it out or inside 1/4 1/2 turn for fine adjustment ..) then adjust the air screw (the big brass screw ..) until the idle speed stables itself at around 900rmp , afterwards , on the end adjust the TP switch (just to note when ever you mess with the throttle stop screw settings check the TP switch operation afterwards and re-adjust it if necessary ..)

But first sort the AFM and ignition timing then proceed to this "screw business" .. also , if you've never done this before , clean up the insides of the TB AFM and breather hoses with an toothbrush and carb cleaner free from carbon/gummy deposits ..

Hey up DJ, if your struggling mate pop down to us and we can set the mixture/AFM on the gas analyser. You adjust it with a allen key, the screw is on the air flow meter. Theyre a pain to set the timing with the strobe so we do it by ear as Damir says.

It must be about a year since i set that engine up so its probably due being done again.

Cheers, Matt at Retro - (i sold you the engine - i think lol)
