hey gang,

my 1.9 gti passed the MOT on monday!

3 advisories, worn handbrake cable, leaky exhaust and tyre close to the legal limit, not too bad thinks I :)

anyway now that we are all road legal I have been driving it around and obviously use the engine more than when it was stood all disconnected ....

I have noticed a bit of a whine noise seems to be coming from the gearbox sort of area, hoping its nothing too serious, all drives ok, pulls nicely through out.

anyone know if this is common, or am I looking a new gearbox or is it something else?

help appreciated.

thanks

Checked gearbox oil before posting :)

topped it up just to make sure.

I do plan to put 309 driveshafts in at somepoint so I wll drain and renew the GB oil then.
