Oil Pressure Dropped Of The Scale!

Recommended Posts

eddie bullit

Hi people my pug dash is displaying nil pressure on the oil gauge. Do you reckon its blocked with s*ite? I know they are unreliable but should I replace it or remove and clean. If replacing where's best to get one from and anyone got a part no.?

Cheers in advance

Ed.

Could just be a bad connection on the sender,or the brown plug under the AFM

Pretty sure gen pug sensor is over £50,you can get a Intermotor one for around £30,part number 53800.

Thanks for the replies chaps..def no holes as I blasted back on m66, legally of course, and temp was fine. I'll check connections at weekend, could well be a dodgy connector. If not think I'll have a go at cleaning it petrol or similar dont want to pay 50 sheets for a new one

I have a similar problem, the gauge seem to work intermittanlty...

Does cleaning it with petrol work? or is it a waste of time?

Any bad connection will be better if you clean it, also give the terminal onthe snder a clean with scotchbrite or wet & dry.

Well worth a try before shelling out for the sender.

Graham.
