BERTMAN 40 1 Cars Posted October 13, 2008 how much lower will my 1.4 205 GT sit on the front end if i replace the front shocks and springs with the standard 309GTi items i have in my garage...? ... am i right in thinking that 205GTi shocks lower a base model 205 by about 20mm, and that the 309 items are 15mm lower again than the 205 ones... so a total of about 35mm? or did i just make that up ? reason is my car just passed its MOT so now im thinking of keeping it abit longer so need to make it look more evil Cheers Liam
Anthony 1,003 Posted October 13, 2008 I've not personally tried it, but I can't see it lowering much if at all. 309 GTi springs on a 205 GTI make it sit a smidgen higher anyway, and with the lighter TU engine under the bonnet, I'd assume it'll hit higher again. Baz 421 Posted October 13, 2008 I'd use them if i were you, they hardly raise a 205 if at all as Ant says.
