d-9 0 Posted October 12, 2008 Has anyone got a wiring diagram for the diesel twin fan setup? I only seem to have High Speed, and sometimes it sticks on and flattens the battery.
Ryan 99 Posted October 12, 2008 I forget who drew this, but it's been doing the rounds for a while now... The low-speed switch turns on the top relay, and the fans are connected in series and run at half speed. The high-speed switch turns on the other two relays as well, which reconnects them in parallel and they both run at full speed.
pug_ham 245 3 Cars Posted October 12, 2008 If you've got the full twin fan wiring loom & relays from a diesel 205 then it possible you have a sticking relay imo. I'm sure they are also wired from the battery/shunt box only, same as on all the 205's which the diagram above shows. You should have the same brown plug coming off the rad fan switch so you can test it but on my car (STDT) I can hardly even hear the fans running when they are on low speed. Graham. d-9 0 Posted October 12, 2008 (edited) Thats ideal, cheers. Suspect you're right, is almost certainly a sticky relay. Edited October 12, 2008 by d-
