Guest cann Posted October 10, 2008 Hello, i had a big problem about to be flood, my car is 1989 1.6 gti ,it was good and there was no problem before, but my engine was back down two weeks before, my service had changed piston rings and then became a problem about lift on the throttle, when you flat out the accelerator it reacts 1 or 2 second later so we changed the afm and ignition wires (all five pieces) and the dizzy cap, then we set the air/ fuel mixture with a electronic machine but there is still the same problem, when i go on the first gear and let in the clutch and gear it up, step on the gas but it flood and dont react to accelerator for a few seconds ,after a few second it react and skid. please help me, i will burn the car. because there is no good stuff who can help me in turkey. Guest cann Posted October 11, 2008 Hello Jimi, but it is going very good after 3000rpm, the problem is under the 2500 rpm and when you flat out it was 1500rpm there is no sense, no reaction like you dont push the gas, 2 seconds later it wakes up and says lets go, it is a big problem because when you try to turn to a highway from a street you have to wait for two seconds and it is so dangerous.
