RAF_gti 0 Posted October 10, 2008 I need to remove my Inlet Manifold but having not done it before would very much appreciate some hints and tips before I delve in and do some damage! Do you have to remove the fuel injection or can you simply leave on and swing the manifold up? This is in order to get at the starter. thanks Steve
Guest pugpowa Posted October 10, 2008 (edited) on the xu engines the fuel rail comes off with the inlet manifold, makes a nice carrying handle too don't forget to undo the support bar from underneath tho! should come out with the radiator in if you are not too brutal! welshpug 1,666 Posted October 10, 2008 leave the manifold on and take the throttle body off, or just take it down past the sump.
Henry Yorke 269 3 Cars Posted October 11, 2008 I presume this is to get to the starter motor? Make sure you have new inlet manifold gaskets at the ready or you may get an air leak.
