d-9 0 Posted October 6, 2008 Anyone had problems with lousy mi throttle response? If you're coasting with your foot off the pedal at lowish rpm (below 2k really) it jerks really badly when you come back on the power, almost like it was stalled and needed bump starting, if you get back on the power when you're thrashing it, its fine. Tried changing the AFM and the engine mounts are all new, but its driving me nuts
Ethos 0 Posted October 6, 2008 Worn throttle body? My is a bit jerky on low throttle / low revs. Also if I blip the throttle when idle it takes a little while to raise and is a bit sketchy. Nothing much, if you know it's there you can drive around it so to speak. I'd like to know how to refurb the throttle body....
kyepan 291 Posted October 6, 2008 when just coming back on the power with the tip of your big toe, or when jumping back on it? and was it always like this? J
d-9 0 Posted October 6, 2008 its bad eitherway, you have to put your toe really really really gently on the throttle to not make it jerk. its been like it for the last few months, damn thing has been on and off the road so much over the last year or two i cant really remember when it started. Would a worn throttle body cause this? Ive been thinking about fitting a VW body as theres a load in the scrappy.
