Rob Turbo 3 Posted October 5, 2008 The header tank should be tee'd into either the heater matrix hose on the left or the bottom rad hose and the right side of the oil heat exchanger should be tee'd into the bottom rad hose, the way you have it there you won't get any flow through the heat exchanger, it will work though, just not as good as it could. pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted October 5, 2008 Best to have the expansion tank connected at the lowest point possible imo, can't you connect it up as standard directly to the back of the block & then plumb the turbo in from another point? Have a look at some of the previous 2.0 turbo conversions to see how they have done it but imo its best to keep it as standardised as possible even if its just to avoid to many joins. Graham. Rob Turbo 3 Posted October 5, 2008 The pipe to the turbo from the back of the engine is too small to connect the expansion tank to really, only about 10mm if that. That second diagram is about right, although the expansion tank should be connected to the other heater matrix pipe.
