Problems!

my mates 1.9 overheated last night.The stop light came on and showed temp gauge skyrockting.

We went to put water in today and it just came out the bottem.

What could be wroung?

the hose that goes from the block to heater matrix is the lowest hose and is probably split?

trip to the tip me thinks.(i mean for a new hose)

only way to tell is to get on your hands and knees and have a look. if its not the hose you maybe looking at a new rad. best thing is to have a look.

You need to have a look.

 

If its a rad then its about £50 and 1 hrs work, if its a hose then 30 mins?

Metal pipe has corroded through?

 

Take off the drivers side wheel and have a peek.
