welshpug 1,666 Posted October 1, 2008 (edited) thanks sandy, I'll amend that now hmm, looks like its even more worthwhile fitting mine to the 405 a quick glance shows that its near identicla to a 1.6 box in gears 1-4, 5th being closer, and 5th being quite long.... I suspected it was wrong as I have a GTI6 box in a 205 equipped with a Stack tacho and a Caerbont electronic speedo that I spent a long time carefully calibrating and the maths just didn't work out. I just did the sums with a 3.95 FD to compare to a 1.6 box; 1st is longer, 2nd is almost identical and 3rd 4th and 5th are shorter. The numbers under each ratio are speed in km/h at 6500 with 195/50-15 tyres.
