Sorry, couldn't resist and don't know anything of the 888s either.

Track biased tyres, get medium compound ones if used mainly as a road car else wont last that long. They will give excellent grip in the dry and damp compared to normal road tyres but good luck in the real wet as they dont have the tread depth or pattern to clear deep water

do people who use them on road not find they can't get the temp into them? the Yoko A0s i had on mine were a liability on the road - worse than road tyres imo

ive only used medium yoko 48r's on the road mainly driving to sprints. They were ok but and on the track fine up to moderate rain but I had a couple of near total carnage moments in the wet on the general road probably due to the lack of temperature as you say. Maybe soft ones would be ok and the better choice on a road car. A friend with a 350bhp Seight Westfield has managed about 3 sprints out of his and just been to the Ring and back with 12 laps and they are still fine and that thing would eat them up in theory

They are very grippy in the dry. As above get the medium compound if using on the road as well. Temp wise i found them fine, no need to get some heat in them.

I have been thinking of trying 888s myself after they were recomended to me by a 205 driver, he has 4 sets waiting to be used which shows he is keen on them.

I would change your wheel size though, they are far to big really.

Theyre brilliant, as soon as Ive sorted my balance issues theyre going on for road use. First time I drove them it was monsooning and they were impressively grippy.
