Help, Can Anyone Identify What This Is.....?

Hi

Trying to establish what this device in my GTi is. I believe it's a standard fit alarm, but, I am hoping it is also an immobiliser. I have a key fob thing with a single button remote, if that helps.

Inside the car there is an orange button, and a red light, are these all connected to each other or.........?

You are right its not standard fit, I kind of meant that I think it's a factory option, the jack is now in a handy bag in the boot.

I'm pretty sure the label say's Peugeot on it, although it is old, faded and torn. Any ideas?

Naah, that's one of the old dealer fit rebadged Harry Moss alarms. Utter s*ite in their day and now getting on a bit with corroded connectors and knackered battery back up only fit for the bin. The one that was originally fitted to my car had been installed with Scotch-loks  And used to go off at random. Horrible, horrible things.

One is just a flashing LED and the other should be a 'panic' button, just incase you get attacked in a car park late at night :D

Thanks for the info, peeps.

My insurance company want a 'certificate' for this alarm but as the motor is 18 years old - that is no longer with the car, any advice?
