How Can I Source This Hose - Off The Shelf?

Recommended Posts

mat1227

When putting the Mi lump in we were missing the hose that comes from the bulkhead to the thermostat (I think > see pics), so bodged an old one. This caused a kink which is now pressurising the coolant system and causing the car to run hot. A temperature gun shows all the hoses around the front of the engine are running at around 90 deg while this offending item is running at 120+.

So, where can I get the correct fitment for this hose to avoid the kink illustrated? Is it a standard Mi part I'm after, can anyone share a part number? Something else? What has everyone else with Mi conversions used?

Much obliged - after 16 months off the road it's taxed, MOT'd and nearly there! :):DB)

looks like a standard lower heater matrix hose, IIRC a standard phase 2 hose will fit.

Stew at BBM does a kit for converted cars.

Great, thanks - Stew, if you're reading this can I buy that hose separately? Had a look on the site and the kit looks lovely, but I don't have a spare £160 or so for the moment :)

Blue_Haddock got a single hose of Stew not too long ago, arrived a damn sight quicker than the same hose ordered from Peugeot :)

looking at the picture of the hoses they'd all fit a 2.0 conversion bar the top hose.

Not wishing to cost Stew any business, but maybe one of these would solve the problem
