GlasgowRob 0 Posted September 25, 2008 Just changed the started in my 309 GTI still not starting properly has been diagnosed as a starter relay issue, anyone know the part no for a starter relay( been told its the one up behind the dash above the ecu assume its just a standard off the shelf relay i need form the factors? what do ask for guys Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
welshpug 1,666 Posted September 25, 2008 there isn't a relay for the starter motor. replace the solenoid wire from the brown plugs by the steering column (or near the fusebox on early cars) all the way through any multiplugs in the engine bay to a fresh terminal on the starter motor.
