Gauge Gremlins Please Help

Hello all

 

The fuel gauge on my f reg 1.9gti has stoped working, any ideas...iv checked the conections under the back seat and they seam ok

any ideas greatly aprichated

 

And one im not to worried about, my clock *for the time* aint working either is it as simple as replaceing it??

Cheers jackherer no blown fuses in the glove box...wouldnt no about the big relays in there aswell

 

Well tonight i took the tank float out and as i was wigling the conection the orenge "fuel empty light came on" turned the float up side down so it wud apear like a tank full but the needle didn move and the orenge light went of....

 

Any ideas please anyone

My thoughs: New clocks dash clocks needed?

i have some problem too and its poor contact on conector on dash( 3 conector's on clock dash) clean with 3000grade sand paper and contact spray -tightened srew's on petrol gauge(dash) and problem solved...

check the reostat (dimmer for dash light) prob some fuse blow
