1.9 Mi16 Crankshaft Oil Seals.

I need to know the part numbers for the following bits for an 1.9 Mi16, if anyone has access to them I would appreciate it.

 

Crank shaft oil seal, fly wheel end. The big One.

Crank shaft oil seal, cambelt end. The smaller one.

The 2 oil sealing strips that fit in grooves in the last main bearing cap at the flywheel end. (Are these known as Hockey stick seals??)

Here you go fella.. Seems today is servicebox day!

 

 

Price is £12.77 plus vat (£15 all in) for the big one, £9.76 plus vat (£11.47) for the smaller one.

 

 

Hockey sticks are 0.76p each (£0.89p) and you need two obviously...

 

Dont forget the uber expensive fitting tool for these too...

0127 05 Hockey stick seals

0127 28 Big seal

0326 22 Small seal

[philfingers 5]

crankshaft front seal is 42 62 7

cam shaft seals are 36 50 7

 

these are oil seal dims and i got mine from http://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/index.php...eb55643ebe4e299

the 3 cost £16.46

 

Not sure on the dims of the std rear c/s seal but have a new one lying about somehwere from an 8v and I believe they're the same, could check it if need be

Worth checking the dia on the crank for the big seal too, I;ve seen a few now which has been worn and even with new seals leak, But this can be fixed

Have picked the seals up from Pug now, thanks for the numbers.

 

As for the fitting of the end plate with the Hockey stick seals, what's the trick then?

slide them in with some strips of plastic then pull the plastic out?

Presuming from the pics you can't just slot it back in with the seals in place?

 

EDIT: Are they longer than they need to be or am I missing something with the above picture?

just started experiencing a fairly major leak, and it is coming from the crank oil seal,

 

a couple of questions, how can the crank wear be fixed? so the seal makes good

 

and can the hockey stick seals be done in situe?

i'd say if the crank has worn a groove where the seal meets it then when you fit the new seal just move it in or out slighlys (a mm or so) so that the seal is touching fresh metal on the crank.

 

and yes hocky sticks can be done insitue
