Stereo Converter For 87 Philips Stereo

Hi there,

 

I'm looking to replace the ancient Philips stereo that's in my '87 1.9 GTi. I was looking at the converter plugs available but they seem to look slightly different to the connectors on mine.

 

Does anyone know if the plugs changed at all for the later 205s? Also, my stereo is backlit green and has three buttons for seek down, memory 1-4 and seek up. Does this sound like the standard fit?

Original was Clairon I think, Take yours to a ICE shop and see what they think, have a look on the discounters thread on here and order your bits from there. Make sure you quote 205gtidrivers and I think you'll get free delivery too!

I don;t ever recall seeing any around for the early model's, Only the later type of plug which you won;t have in your's, All the early models did have a Phillip's cassette fitted as std
