Skidding / Sliding Noise When Braking

Weird problem which started yesterday.

 

When I get to a junction and brake, just before the car comes to a complete stop there's a skidding noise which sounds like i'm sliding on a wet road or something is sliding in the boot. The car has nothing in it except me, so I have no idea what it is. Tyre pressures are all up at 30ish PSI so it's not the tyre sliding on the rim. Any ideas?

 

Car is a gentry, 1.9 auto.

water in the sills possibly ? try clearing the drain holes on the seam with the floorpan with a small screwdriver or a hacksaw blade
