Bit Of Interior (drivers Seat) Advice

Recommended Posts

I've gone and added a '91 1.6 in Miami blue to my fleet! Drivers seat could do with a little attention. Anyone an idea of how much I should be looking at to have the side bolter refoamed and recovered? Perhaps the thigh bolster as well.

Buying replacement seats isn't really an option as the cost of having them sent to Northern Ireland is frightening.

Many thanks, Mark.

I paid £34 to have the lower bolster foam replaced, if that helps.

Mark, I'll get back to you about this via PM..my dad knows a guy that does seat repairs for him, at some point I'll be sending my driver's full leather seat off to him for side bolster repair and re-stitching as it's come apart in places so I'll find out the guy's name and number and send them to you.

My dad said his work's good, so it'll do me :( No idea about prices though to be honest, couldn't be too expensive..

I had the squab part you sit on swapped for the passenger side and vice versa so the damaged seat part is the other side.

He also replaced the foam to build it all back up.

I also had some stitching done and I was charged £100 which was well worth it. The only problem with your seat is the ripped part. I would imagine getting the fabric exactly the same quite difficult also re-covering gets expensive.

I asked how much it would be to recover a set of front and rears in full black leather and he said something like £850 to £1000 :(
