Expansion Bottle Hose

Hi

 

I bought a replacement hose from the expansion bottle to the thing on the back of the block for my 1.9 GTI, but it's different to my one - a bit smaller in diameter and a slightly different shape. It was in a Peugeot bag with 1351.19.

 

Here is a pic comparing the two:

 

 

Any idea if it's for an earlier/later revision or the wrong hose?

Thats one from a phase 1,1.5 you have a phase 2.

its the right part number for that hose, does it fit?

 

I remember that hose leaking because it rubbed on the lower steering column, might explain the different shape if its correct and been revised

 

edit, it does look like its been changed according to servicebox, that hose is for - RIGHT HAND DRIVE SINCE SERIES 5879127 (chassis number) earlier hose NFP

Don't mind me i may well be talking s*ite .

That looks more like the pipe that comes from the bottom of the T.B. to the expansion tank.

Thats one from a phase 1,1.5 you have a phase 2.

Are those the ones with the slider heater controls etc? It doesn't fit my 1.9 with the white rounder expansion bottle and dial heater controls either.

Na, shape's wrong and the holes in each end are too small

The hose you have there is off a phase 2 car, It's from the side of the Stat housing to the heater matrix soo nothing to do with the exp. bottle
