Guest 80wya Posted September 9, 2008 in the process of changin my 1.6 to a 1.9... im changin in the ecu to the 1.9 one, on the back of the 1.9 engine it has a blue water temp sender on block. is there wiring on the 1,6 loom for it, and if disconnected does this effect the runnin of the engine etc. cheers matt Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
j_turnell 137 3 Cars Posted September 9, 2008 The wiring is identical on both 1.6 and 1.9, its easy as the plugs are colour coded. The blue sensor is the ecu temp sensor and essential for the engine to run. Make sure you change the AFM also, along with the ecu. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
